Summer arrives as Provincetown breaks out with pride, movie stars and linguica.
June 3 to 6 – Women of Color & Friends Weekend. A relaxing, unscripted, special long weekend of parties, cookouts, seminars, workshops and even a drag brunch.
June 4 – That penultimate Ptown institution Tea Dance at the Boatslip resumes after a year plus hibernation due to COVID. Just be sure to bring your proof of vaccination as it is required for entrance.
June 4 to 6 – Provincetown Pride Weekend. Provincetown’s Gay Pride Festival returns as a more low key, scaled back, COVID appropriate event but with lots of fun still scheduled. Express yourself, take to the streets, and show your pride!
June 16 to 25 – Provincetown International Film Festival. Hollywood comes to Ptown with a full schedule of movie debuts and parties. Reimagined this year due to COVID, the 23rd annual festival will be multi-dimensional including virtual screenings, outdoor screenings, talks and VIP experiences. Honorees this year will be Richard Linklater and Natalie Morales.
June 23 to 27 – Cabaretfest. Broadway At The Beach for the 21st annual Cabaretfest.
June 24 to 27 – Provincetown Portuguese Festival. Everyone is Portuguese when Provincetown celebrates it’s Portuguese heritage. This year’s event has been necessarily scaled back but will still be capped off by the traditional Blessing Of The Fleet on Sunday.
