Fireworks, Parties, Bears, Girls & Strollers
July 4th Weekend
The boys come to party this weekend with the major venues in town hosting all sorts of parties and events. For a more traditional Independence Day celebration there is a fun parade that starts at 11:00am in the far East End and winds its way all the way down Commercial Street. At Aerie House we get into the swing of things at 7:00pm when we host our annual July 4th BBQ bash for guests and invited friends and then ooh and ahh on our bay view deck around 9:00pm for the always spectacular fireworks display over the harbor. UPDATE – Due to the Corona Virus the Crown & Anchor has canceled all their scheduled July 4th week parties.
Provincetown is invaded by Bears this week. These are not the furry, huge and ferocious animals but furry, large and wonderfully friendly gay men who come to Ptown for a great week of parties. UPDATE – Due to the Corona Virus all Bear Week events have been canceled.
It’s time for the girl’s to have their special mid-summer event with all sorts of parties and entertainers in town for their enjoyment. While this is a smaller group than the Bears and they don’t take over the town as such, it is a really fun time for our Lesbian visitors.
This annual fund raising event held on the grounds of the Pilgrim Monument is the place to mix and mingle with local and national gay and lesbian celebrities.
With the advent of gay marriage there are more and more gay families with children who come to Ptown for a week of activities for the entire family. Not to worry if you don’t have children or are seeking “non-family” fun as all the other activities Ptown is famous for continue in town.
